Odd to see them getting pelted with snow already. It seems like we were out there just a few weeks ago... CRAZY how fast time marches on by! After all, I just finished the video of our Great Adventure, maybe that is why it doesn't seem like so long ago.
We still have quite a bit more to do to get ready for the deep freeze that seems to be coming our way over the next few months. Is this winter going to be unusually bad? Many are predicting that and the way it is starting off, it sure seems possible!
All I have to say is, it is very nice to have an evening free to take care of some of those chores! I had to do them alone though, because Dawn is really under the weather with a pretty bad cold. Poor girl is all congested with the scratchy throat thing going on, chilly, then warm, etc. Of course, in this case, she really does not have to "share and share alike"! Honest, I will understand!
I hope Dawn feels better soon and that you don't catch her cold! I feel a cold coming on; I have the sniffles and a ticklish throat. I've been drinking lots of fluid, hot and cold, and doubling up on the Vitamin C.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a winter storm warning over your way? We have one here, issued at 4:26 this morning. The weatherman is calling for 4-12 inches of heavy, wet snow between 4:00 PM today and Saturday morning. The weather forecast was enough to cause Bob to put the Kaw in the barn. We start taking zinc tablets right away too. They really seem to shorten the length of the cold/flu.
ReplyDeleteNo storm warning here. We might get between 1" and 3" overnight and the same tomorrow night. 4"-12" is plain crazy for the middle of October! Get out the galoshes!
Black Beauty is in the shop getting some little bugs taken care of. At this pace, I'll have to ride her home with snow in my face!
